Intro:
This beef and broccoli stir-fry is a fast, flavorful, and healthy dinner idea that comes together in just 25 minutes! With tender beef slices, crisp broccoli, and a savory garlic-ginger soy sauce, it’s the perfect Asian-inspired meal for busy weeknights.

📋 Ingredients:

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 1 lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil (or sesame oil)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar (optional)
  • Black pepper to taste

🍳 Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Sauce

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together:
    • 3 tbsp soy sauce
    • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
    • 1 tbsp cornstarch
    • 1/2 cup water
    • 1 tsp brown sugar (if using)
  2. Set aside — this will be your stir-fry sauce.

Step 2: Cook the Broccoli

  1. Bring a small pot of water to a boil.
  2. Blanch the broccoli florets for 1–2 minutes until bright green and just tender.
  3. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking. Set aside.

Tip: Blanching helps keep the broccoli vibrant and crisp in the stir-fry.

Step 3: Sear the Beef

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat.
  2. Add the sliced beef in a single layer (cook in batches if needed) and sear for 1–2 minutes per side until just browned.
  3. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.

Step 4: Sauté Aromatics

  1. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil to the pan.
  2. Stir-fry the minced garlic and grated ginger for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Step 5: Combine Everything

  1. Return the beef to the pan, along with the blanched broccoli.
  2. Pour in the prepared stir-fry sauce.
  3. Toss everything together and cook for 2–3 minutes, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli evenly.

Step 6: Serve

  1. Serve immediately over steamed white rice, brown rice, or noodles.
  2. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions if desired.

✅ Tips for Success:

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for tenderness.
  • For low-sodium options, use reduced-sodium soy sauce.
  • Add other vegetables like bell peppers or snap peas for variety.

Why Meat ?

For me, meat is more than protein it’s a love language. My grandpa’s shop wasn’t just a business; it was a place where farmers, families, and food lovers swapped secrets over sausage samples. Those early lessons stuck:

  • Respect the ingredient: From pasture to plate, every step matters.

  • Simplicity shines: A handful of bold spices can outshine complexity.

  • Cooking connects: A perfectly seared steak or a slow-cooked stew has the power to turn strangers into friends.

After training at [culinary school or relevant experience, e.g., “a renowned culinary institute”/“working in farm-to-table kitchens”], I realized my true calling was bridging grandpa’s old-world wisdom with modern, approachable recipes. This blog is my way of honoring his legacy and helping you create moments that linger long after the last bite.
